HOW IT ALL began
Paving the way for all women to become financially confident and create multi-generational wealth.
A West Texas native, Tresa Todd successfully spent more than twenty-five years in the medical industry. However, as she began to consider her options for retirement, she realized that neither her savings nor her 401k would be enough to live comfortably for more than a few years.
Just as she began searching for a new plan for her future, her three sons persuaded her to join their business as a fellow real estate investor. Although she was skeptical at first, she quickly realized that her combination of professional experience, charisma, and leadership had prepared her to make that leap of faith into a new line of business — and it worked! With the support and knowledge of her sons, she was able to successfully conduct her first deal in less than thirty days, despite having no real estate experience when she started.
Inspired by her newfound passion, Tresa immersed herself further into the industry and began attending conferences that allowed her to network with other real estate investors. Although, when Tresa would walk into these events, she couldn’t help but notice the scarcity of women speakers and participants and wonder why.
Tresa found that women were overlooking the opportunity to achieve financial stability, meet ambitious retirement goals, and build wealth simply because they weren’t aware of the advantages of real estate investing.
As a result, Tresa established the Women’s Real Estate Investors Network, an organization that provides a fun and non-intimidating atmosphere with the opportunity to learn and network.
