The Biggest Lie About Money
You’ve probably been told your whole life that a 401(k) is the responsible move. Set it, forget it, and retire someday.
We grow up hearing that the smart path is to work hard, play it safe, and depend on stability.
It sounds responsible when you hear it growing up, but then life starts getting more expensive, the economy starts acting like it drank three espressos, and suddenly “safe” feels shaky.
I know women who did everything right on paper and still feel stressed every month.
That tells you the old formula is broken.
The Numbers
Research continues to show that women retire with significantly less wealth than men, even when they participate in retirement plans at similar rates.
The U.S. Treasury Department found women have roughly 30% lower retirement income than men on average. Plus, men’s average 401(k) balances are 50% higher than women’s overall.
I used to think security came from earning more money, but true security comes from having more than one stream of income and more control over your time.

Women are far more capable than they think. They just haven’t been taught to think of themselves as investors yet.
I recorded a short clip talking about this:
Women who build freedom are usually not the loudest people in the room. They’re the women who decided to learn differently.
